Dear FitFluential, I totally got my title from you. Or, as we like to say in the blogger community, I was inspired. In all seriousness, Altamonte Springs is a health and fitness mecca. In my last post, I said there were at least a dozen gyms around here. In reality, it’s probably much more. Amazing Arms & Back

How sad are you that the Olympics are over? Those two weeks went by so fast, and thanks to Cox promising “full events” on OnDemand and delivering 3-minute highlights of only the American teams, I missed way too much! The only good thing that came from the Olympics ending was the Spice Girls reunion. It amazes me that after over a decade, I could still sing along with every single word. Insanity Update: Fit Test 2

I’ve officially stuck with Insanity for two weeks! Technically, it’s been 3 weeks, but I’ve done two weeks worth of workouts. This is probably the longest I’ve followed a program, mainly because I’m actually seeing results and not getting bored. The first step of Insanity is taking a fit test, where you do as many reps as possible of 8 different exercises for one minute each. I Survived Insanity Day 1

Wow! I had the most intense workout today that I’ve had in a long time. I did Day 1 of Shaun T’s Insanity workout, followed by an intense 12-minute Crossfit WOD I found on BlondePonytail.com, modified for my gym. Day 1 of Insanity is a fitness test. I did 8 exercises, as many reps in good form as possible for one minute, followed by one minute of rest. Dig Deeper With Insanity

(Not so) Happy Monday, everyone! I always have such a hard time getting out of bed Mondays, so I like to start my day with a protein, vitamin and fiber-rich breakfast. Today’s breakfast was a green smoothie and a power waffle. My green smoothie today consisted of: 1/2 banana 1/4 cup pineapple 1/2 peach handful of spinach 1/2-3/4 cup almond milk ice to fill This power waffle was just what I needed for my Monday morning boost.
